Trailkeepers Kickoff meeting
Ever since the annual meeting, we had been looking forward to the kick off meeting, a breakfast meeting held in the Garage of the Codey Arena in West Orange. There are some offices on the first floor and a large meeting roon that looks out on Northfield Avenue.
The agenda included introduction to new TrailKeepers, discussion of current efforts, congrats on previous efforts and ongoing maintenance. After a nutritious round of bagels and donuts (us trailkeepers need to to keep our energy up!) we were ready to get down to business.We discussed what was expected of the trailkeepers: we would be assigned one or more trails; we are to submit a report on the condition of the trail (the form is available on the internet and is several pages long; we would keep the trail clean and cut back growth on the trail and cut small branches and trees, such as we can handle.
