Sunday, May 21: 1 p.m.-2:30: Turtle Back Rock — the Lenape Creation Story. A walk for young children and their families which includes the telling of the Lenape story of creation. Good for children 4 to 8 in particular. We will visit the rock that looks like a turtle shell where the Lenape believe the earth was first formed. One mile at an easy pace. Meet at: Turtle Back Rock Picnic Grove off of Walker Road in West Orange. Driving east on Northfield Ave., drive past the zoo to the next right hand turn, which is at a traffic light.
