Description
The South Mountain Reservation Trail Map, now available from Avenza, allows owners of iOS-Apple and Android smartphones and tablets to access the most detailed and up-to-date map (Nov. 2023) of this 2110-acre forested park in Essex County, New Jersey. Developed by the Conservancy, this interactive map, which is also available in printed form, details over 55 miles of trails, blazed and unblazed, multiple picnic areas, amenities and special features. The Avenza app allows plotting and measuring routes beforehand, provides your exact location and the direction your phone is pointing when in the park, and tracks your route. (Note: Current owners of the Android version trail map will be able to upload an updated version of the Android map by mid-2024, but no further updates will be provided.)
