The South Mountain Conservancy has been awarded two grants to promote local arts and history in 2022 by Essex County and the NJ State Council on the Arts and the NJ Historical Commission.  The Wildflower Sculpture Park team headed by Lisa Sanders, curator, and Elyse Reissman will use $8,800 to provide honoraria for innovative sculptors, improve signage and support arts programming tied to the park. The history grant will use the $3,000 award to publish the late Dave Hogenauer’s History of the South Mountain Reservation: Then and Now early next year and distribute free copies to local libraries and schools.
